“Physical Activity, Research and Public Health” – a transdisciplinary exchange on status quo and development perspectives
February, 8th 2022, 10am – 5:15pm
The first roots of “sport and public health” in sports science and health sciences go back to the 1980s of the 20th century. Despite some significant successes for sports science – with a stronger focus on public health in research and practice – there has been little discussion about how the opportunities and resources available in the field of public health have been used within sports science in the scientific and practical application context since then. The dvs expert workshop aims to enable a transdisciplinary exchange of experiences with stakeholders from sports science, health sciences and public health, including politics and practice, regarding the status quo and development perspectives of “Physical Activity, Research and Public Health.”

The subject of this meeting were lectures, discussions and simple exchange around the topic BGK. Due to the extensive positive feedback, this was probably not the last meeting of this kind …
