RÜCKGEWINN

RÜCKGEWINN – Efficacy of exercise- and behavior-oriented interventions for low back pain in after care

For the long-term improvement of pain and functional capacity within a rehabilitation measure for back pain, a high intervention intensity or a high extent seems to be necessary (> 100 therapy hours). Due to the relatively short intervention time of rehabilitation measures, a lasting effect on physical characteristics as well as on processes of behaviour and attitude change is, however, difficult to achieve. The development of targeted and differentiated aftercare measures that explicitly take into account chronification and attachment-relevant factors of back pain is therefore very important, especially for a sustainable effect. The aim of this research project is to develop and implement such an aftercare programme in cooperation with the German Pension Insurance Association and to evaluate it in a randomised, controlled, multi-centre study.
