e-Training for health promotion

e-Training for health promotion

Background

In order to achieve the strengthening of health resources through athletic activation, it must be possible to motivate a larger number of people to regular activity. In the conceptualisation of such offers, the reduction of entry barriers, the integration of bonding elements and the reduction of drop-out factors, for example, are at the forefront. This can be supported by the use of modern internet-based care systems.

Aims

Comparison of a systematic individual Internet support (“e-training”) with usual group programs in health sports. The effect of the interventions in terms of physical and mental health resources and the medium-term commitment (6 months) to this health sports training even after the end of the course units is examined.

Period: 2006-2007
